The colour palette is a keyboard-navigable grid (role=“radiogroup”):

Context menu
No fixed shortcut key. Use your keyboard’s context menu key (usually between the right Alt and Ctrl keys) while on X.com to open the browser context menu, then arrow to the XTagger item.
Browser extension keyboard shortcut
You can assign a custom keyboard shortcut to open the XTagger popup:

XTagger doesn’t set a default shortcut to avoid conflicts, but any unused key combination can be assigned.
